Tasting Notes
Visual – The color is a deep burgundy, opaque and dark. The wine looks unfiltered but bright and reflective and the long legs promise a generous mouthfeel.
Nose – Notes of dark ripe cherry, cocoa powder, cinnamon and nutmeg with a hint of soft worn leather.
Taste – The wine is fruit forward with dark rich cherry and black currant with a tart blackberry at the mid-palate. The tannins are big and bold and the oak is chewy but balanced. This wine offers excellent mouthfeel and a long finish. Enjoy this wine with beef, wild game and heavy sauces. This wine can be enjoyed now or laid down for many years to come.
